Bruce Sullivan In 1981, I contracted Lyme disease from a deer tick bite while living on Cape Cod Massachusetts. My Lyme disease went untreated for twenty years, but in 2000 I began to experience severe arthritic symptoms and a perpetual "brain fog". At that time, I was diagnosed with Lyme disease and I underwent thirty days of IV antibiotic treatment. I felt immediate improvement in my condition and it kept improving throughout the thirty days of IV treatment. In 2004, the joint pain symptoms started to return so my doctor at the time started me on a ninety day oral antibiotic regimen. I felt better during the treatment, but the improvement was nothing like the initial IV treatment in 2000. Read entire testimonial |

Christian Mercado I can wake up now and know I am alive, existing, knowing I'm getting the treatment I needed. Thank you God, I know I am healing because I have been able to eat, smell, breathe, like a "normal" person, I love it! Thank you God, I can

Dottie J. Kinn HBOT, short for Hyperbaric Oxygen, was completely unknown to me just a short 5 months ago.Back then, I was suffering from severe muscle pain and weakness that continued to increase day
by day and I was making the rounds with the doctors trying to find the cause.

Patrick Kavanaugh I anticipated that the extended hyperbaric oxygen treatment I was about to start in March at SFHIM was going to be tedious at best. I expected that the daily regimen would consist of extended isolation eased only by the option of passing time watching movies. |

Cary I've spent the last 14 years in the maelstrom of the health care system. I've been to countless doctors and had innumerous treatments of various kinds. My course of hyperbaric therapy at SFIHM was, without question, the most positive experience I've had in the world of medicine. It would be doing a great disservice to the SFIHM staff to describe them as nice. Though I'm sure it sounds hyperbolic, I don't know how better to express it than to say that I think the world is a better place for their being in it. Certainly MY world is. Their supportiveness and caring seems to know no bounds, and their attitude and empathy was a great help to me in dealing with a difficult health issue. |

Jen G. This place made a huge difference in how I healed after a gum graft. I had my first surgery last summer and didn't do hyperbarics. I was really swollen, bruised and the donor site on the roof of my mouth wasn't healing very quickly- the blood clot kept coming out. For my last graft, which involved 6 more teeth than the first surgery, I did oxygen treatments the few days before and a week after. I hardly swelled at all, no bruising and my palate healed and sealed in only a few days. I got my stitches out a few days early- the sutures were just baggy since the swelling went down almost immediately. |

Sunny. In my 20 years in the field of hyperbaric medicine and more than 10 years helping hyperbaric centers get started, I have never met a more dedicated and professional staff. What a pleasure to work with people who understand all technical and patient care aspects AND are caring and compassionate. I can highly recommend this clinic for anyone who needs hyperbaric treatments! |

Jeff. In 2006, I suffered a severe traumatic brain injury, and I have struggled to find effective treatments ever since. And while I have tried many things -- acupuncture, meditation, yoga, various drugs, a gizmo called the Brainport -- HBOT is one of the few that have made a difference. To anyone out there who has suffered a brain injury, I would urge you to seriously consider HBOT. |

Bernard. DEDICATION AND PROFESSIONAL, CARING, SELFLESS SERVICE are what I experienced at The San Francisco Institute for Hyperbaric Medicine, whose personell are very aware of MTBI, technically super well trained, and very experienced in giving loving, attentive, and professional care. |

Ethan. After an unfortunate TBI accident a year ago, I suffered light sensitivity, severe fatigue and headaches. I fortunately found SFHBO through my brother-in-law. I underwent two courses of 40 treatments at 1.5 atmospheres. I felt much better afterwards and the headaches and discomforts have greatly reduced. The SFHBO staff are dedicated and professional, not to mention being super nice and giving great movie recommendations (to watch while in the chamber)! Blessings and thanksgiving, Ethan :o) |

Nancy Sluiter The professional staff at the clinic was both well-informed and very welcoming. Going there daily was not something to dread, but something to look forward to, largely because the staff helped to make the experience a pleasant one. Also, the staff was well-organized and able to answer pertinent medical questions I had during the treatment. Although I had suffered head pain for 25 years from my traumatic brain injury of my condition improved dramatically after 40 days of oxygen treatment. Thank you, Hyperbaric Oxygen Clinic! |

Dottie Kinn The treatment saved my life, literally, and I am very grateful to the staff at SFIHM. Gayle shared with me additional information that would assist my healing process since she had been through the same thing. All the technicians and other staff were very professional and took a personal interest in my well being and progress. They cheered with me each time I made a step forward and encouraged me so much. I'm so grateful that God led me to them and this treatment!! I still need additional treatment and will definitely return to SF Institute for Hyperbaric Medicine. |

John A. Logan If you are a veteran that has been diagnosed with PTSD or TBI (mild to moderate), or both, seek acceptance to this program. I have improved in many ways: better memory, less rage, happier, more open with those I know and love, more focused and less, much less depressed. Also, I have not had a headache since I began these treatments. I have been won over. I am now trying to help others to get into this program. |
Tammy I underwent Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment for Lyme Disease at SF Institute for Hyperbaric Medicine. I found the staff at the center to be top notch. The staff was attentive, empathetic, compassionate and knowledgeable. The technicians follow the procedures for use of the 'tubes' very carefully and provide a high level of confidence when using of the chambers. |
